What is the Electronic Building Identity (EBI)?
The Electronic Building Identity (EID) is a mandatory digital file that includes all legal and technical documentation for the creation or arbitrary construction, in accordance with the applicable legislation. It contributes to the registration and legal settlement of arbitrary buildings, in accordance with Laws 4495/2017 and other relevant provisions for the settlement of arbitrary buildings. It is required for purchases, parental transfers, donations and other notarial acts, in accordance with the legislation in force.

Electronic Building Identity & Legislation for the Settlement of Unauthorized Buildings
The Electronic Building Identity (EID) is directly linked to Laws 4495/2017 and 4178/2013 for the settlement of arbitrary buildings. Law 4495/2017 concerns the settlement of unauthorized constructions and the restriction of new arbitrary constructions, while Law 4178/2013 provides the legal basis for the settlement of unauthorized constructions before the implementation of the latter. Through the HTC, legalization and compliance with the requirements of the two laws is achieved through the registration and submission of the necessary files.
